Overview

The zoo, situated on 62 acres and built on two levels, is home to over 170 species of animals, many of which roam freely within their enclosures.  A special treat is the African savanna containing giraffes, zebras and more. View the animals sleeping, playing and eating, learn about conservation, wildlife habitats and take the visitor’s train for a different view of the park including its large man-made lake, waterfalls and pools. There is also a petting zoo for children, a children’s sculpture garden, places to eat, and lots of open space for children to play, even when the zoo is busy.

  • Over 170 diverse species of animals in a variety of habitats
  • Lots of educational and interesting signs in three languages (English, Hebrew and Arabic)
  • Hand feed the Lemurs (check times)
  • Art exhibitions in Noah’s Ark
  • Israeli Center for Raptor (Birds of Prey) Egg Incubation is now open
  • Open grass areas, picnic benches, lots of shade, lake and various water features to view

Explore the underwater world of the Red Sea at this landmark attraction. View abundant marine life from two underwater observatories and thirty five aquariums including shark viewing decks, turtle pools and stingray exhibits.  Learn about what you are viewing in a “self-tour” using an informative electronic guide. Take a ride in the Coral 2000 glass-sided boat and climb the Peace Terrace Tower to take in the views reaching as far as Jordan, Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Child friendly activities include a marine themed activity corner, face (only) snorkeling, watching marine animal feedings and a dive simulator ride.
