Overview

Tour the extensive premises of the Mikve Israel Agricultural School that was founded in 1870 by Karl Netter who pioneered progressive educational methods for teaching agriculture and a new way of life for the future farmers of the land. View hundred year old buildings including one of the first synagogues built in Israel at the end of the 19th century, the winery cellars dug into limestone and a welding workshop where weapons were made and refurbished.

See the well-known Davidka homemade Israeli mortar, used during the 1948 War of Independence that was made in the welding workshop at Mikve. Experience the lush botanical garden, an ancient palm tree avenue, and a rare famous Bengal Ficus tree that was planted in 1888.

Overview

Yamit 2000 Water Park provides a wide variety of water related activities including state of the art, extremely fast water slides including the Black Hole slide, Bungee slides, High Speed slide, Anaconda slide, Hurricane slide, Banana Jump, Super Kamikaze and the Thunder Water Tunnel. Four of the 20 water slides at the park are the highest in Israel.

 

There are also various sized pools including an Olympic sized pool and an indoor children’s world with a whale shaped pool, waterfalls, water slides, water cannons, an indoor wave pool, water mushroom, water buckets, swirl pool, drift canal, and a toddler pool.

 

Additional facilities include a tennis court, a squash court, kids’ games and a stage area.   Relax in a shaded, grassy area in a comfortable chair, visit the indoor tent or enjoy a show at the stage area. Open year round, the heated indoor slides and pools provide winter time fun.

 

Adults can enjoy a pampering experience at the spa with 6 types of Jacuzzis, wet and dry saunas, massage and a Turkish bath. The park also has locker rooms, showers, security staff, lifeguards and first aid assistance.

Tip: Get there early to get a good spot.
