Overview

Enjoy the Carlsberg Israel Visitor Center museum and factory; learn about the center from its opening in 1995 until the present. Tour the brewery and walk through the state of the art production line.

View the audio-visual presentation in the auditorium and learn about the history of beer in the museum display by the Israel Antiquities Authority including authentic tools, ancient beer jugs, Bronze Age barley, ancient beer filters and more. Beer souvenirs are available.

The 10 acre Ashkeluna Water Park on the shores of Ashkelon includes water amusements for the entire family. Experience the repelling balloon, exciting slides such as the Kamikaze and Slalom and swim in the Olympic Size pool. Enjoy activities and games at the Lagoon Pool. Take in amphitheater contests, dancing and games or just relax on the shaded grounds. Children have their own place at the “Kid’s World” which includes 5 mini slides, a small pool and a recreation area. This site can be booked for events.

Overview

Ashkelon Park has impressive ruins including Roman era marble and granite columns, capitals, basilica and a statue garden.

Here you will find the earliest arch in the world, a Middle Bronze Age gate (1800 BCE), the remains of the Church of Santa Maria Viridis (5th Century) and a Fatimid era (mid-12th century) wall which provides a view of the entire park.

There is also a system of 60 wells of various types, dunes to the south and a beautiful beach, all within view of the modern city of Ashkelon.

Overview

Set up to be a Tower and Stockade settlement in 1939, Kibbutz Negba successfully defeated the Egyptian Army and held onto the kibbutz in the War of Independence. At the museum, learn about the major events of modern history of Israel, current-day Negba and about kibbutz life.

You can see the reconstructed Tower and Stockade, the shell-scarred water tower, an abandoned Egyptian tank,  and the first tractor to plough in Negba. Also to see is a military cemetery and an IDF memorial to the victims of a helicopter disaster that happened near the kibbutz.  For an additional fee, guided tours are available by appointment.

Named after Warsaw Ghetto commander, Mordechai Anielewicz, this museum depicts Jewish history from the end of the 19th century to the 1948 War of Independence.  Learn about life of the Jews in Eastern Europe (from which many of the kibbutzniks descended from) before the war, the holocaust and the heroic story of the Warsaw Ghetto uprising through historical photos, unique exhibits and a scale model of the Warsaw Ghetto.

View the reconstructed battlefield, obsolete weapons, trenches and listen to recorded explanations of the heavily outnumbered kibbutz fighters against 10,000 Egyptian soldiers in the 1948 War of Independence.

The kibbutz also offers kid friendly activities such as tractor or wagon rides, house of bees and learning about the process of milking cows.

Overview

The museum, dedicated to teaching about the original Negev settlements and the development of this kibbutz, is located on the site where Kibbutz Sa’ad was established in 1947.

A tailor made tour for groups of both the museum and the kibbutz  can be arranged in in English, Hebrew, Spanish or Russian.  The tour of the museum takes about 1 hour and includes an audio presentation.

Learn about kibbutz life, visit main sites including the synagogue, award winning dairy, school and cactus garden.  Children will enjoy the petting zoo, it is possible to arrange horse rides and everyone can eat in the kibbutz dining room.
