Overview
It’s not just a 250 acre zoo – it’s an African safari where you can observe wildlife herds roaming up close and personal on a 8 km trail from your own vehicle or the Safari bus. Walk the shorter trail in the center of the Safari to learn about the safaris’ conservation programs, displays and exhibitions. View feeding times, and enjoy the thrill of guided day or night tour including the special insights provided by the entertaining zoo-keeper stories.
To See and Do
- Safari bus for visitors without vehicles (additional 7 nis) takes you through the African section & out through the lions domain
- Birds of Prey Attraction, Reptile area, Gorilla Forest Reserve includes a public and protected place for observing
- A variety of tours are available including midnight visit, Safari at night, Safari at Dusk, Morning Safari tour (additional cost) 03-630-5328 or arrange a special interactive tour
- Segway’s and golf carts (main entrance to zoo 03-730-5447) can be rented to get around the safari
- Safari train provides, on holidays, a 30-minute guided tour of the African Park (additional 10 nis)

- Meet a barn owl (raised by a family then brought to the zoo)
