Overview
Founded in 1951 and one of the oldest museums in the country, the Wilfrid Israel Museum was named after Wilfrid Israel, a German Jew who saved thousands of Jews during the Holocaust and later bequeathed his art collection to Kibbutz HaZorea.
View the three permanent exhibitions; the Ancient Far East collection (art from Camboida, India, China and Thailand), the Ancient Near East collection and the Archaeological collection (excavated locally by Ezra Miirhuf). See temporary exhibitions of modern art, including painting, sculpture, photography and textiles. Enjoy the manicured lawns, trees and benches, hear a lecture, attend a workshop, book a tour or take the kids to a creative hands-on art activity.
